KIMT was established by Khalsa Dewan, Ludhiana in 1997 in pursuance of its aim of promoting educational facilities for women, Khalsa Dewan was established in 1907 & has prestigious institutions like Khalsa college for women & Malwa college of education for women which are affiliated to Punjab university, Chandigarh.
