| KIMT organized a cultural function ‘Aagaz-N-Aagman’
on 18 Sept., 09 to welcome freshers. Chief parliamentary
Secretary Mr. Harish Rai Dhanda and Mrs. Vijay
Rai Dhanda were the chief guest, while Ludhiana
Additional Deputy Commissioner S. Kuldeep Singh
was the Guest of Honour. The CPS inaugurated the function,
which was followed by ‘Shabad’ recital. Events
which glued the audience to their seats were welcome dance,
solo song, solo dance, group dance by MBA, MCA, BCA and
BBA students. The fashion show of freshers was also held
in three rounds followed by question-answer session. The
show captivated the audience and lent colour to the occasion.
Tanu of MBA- Ist sem was declared Miss fresher of the
fashion show while Namita and Renu Sharma of MCS- Ist
sem were adjudged first and second runner-up, respectively.
A number of contests Mehndi, Flower Decoration, Rangoli,
Poster-Making, Collage making were also organized. |

it consumes itself to light the way for others.”
The students and teachers of KIMT to mark respect to
great philospher and teacher Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan
celebrated Teacher's Day with full enthusiasm.
Life Insurance Corporation of India,
Ludhiana division honored the faculty of KIMT to show
acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put
in by our teachers towards overall development of students.Mr.
K K Sexena, Mkt. Manager; Mr. J P Arya, Sen. Manager;
Mr. Bhatia, Sen .Manager; Mr. M S Batra, Sen. Manager
and Mr. S C Dhingra Sen. Divisional Manager were present
at the occasion and gave gifts to KIMT faculty as a
token of respect and appreciation. S. Gurdish Singh
Grewal, treasurer, Khalsa Dewan and Dr. Vijay Asdhir,
Director KIMT were also specially honoured for their
contibution in the growth of this institute. |

Khalsa Institute of Management of
Technology for Women (KIMT) organized their annual function
“RADIANCE-2010” on 20th Feb, 2010. Dr. Vijay
Asdhir, Director of the institute, Management, Faculty
Members and Students welcomed the Chief Guest Ms. Sandeep
Riat, MD of Akal Springs Limited, Ludhiana and Ms. Kanchan
Vasdev, Principal Correspondent, Tribune Bureau, Ludhiana
graced the occasion as guest of honour More than 15
colleges participated in various events with keen interest
and the overall trophy was won by Ramgarhia Girls College
for exceptional performance in Rangoli and Mehndi Events.
The Group Dance performance by students of the institute
mesmerized the audience and won top honours.
Ms. Sandeep Riat
shared her experience as women entrepreneur and exhorted
the students to shed their inhibition and take up the
challenges of the new world order.
Ms. Kanchan Vasudev
shared her views and suggested that “Entrepreneur”
zeal should be accompanied by social responsibility
so that we all grow up as responsible corporate citizen
and contribute to the societal cause.
The object of this cultural festival
was to search and appreciate talent. The Various indoor
events for the competition were Rangoli, Flower Decoration,
Poster making, Collage making, Tattoo Making, Mehndi
and Cartooning. On-stage events were Dance to the Tune,
Group Dance, Solo Song and Declamation contest. |
