ADMISSION RULES

  • Application for admission is to be submitted only on the prescribed form attached with this prospectus.
  • The candidate must be present personally at the time of admission.
  • The parents / guardians must sign the admission form.
  • Incomplete application form will not be considered.
  • Any student who has been disqualified by any Board / University will not be granted admission to the institute.
  • Proof of gap in studies (if any) must be submitted at the time of admission.
  • This prospectus is not a legal document. Any rule can be changed according to the decision of the Government of Punjab, Punjab Technical University or the Director of the Institute.
  • The Director reserves the right to cancel the application form of any student without assigning any reason.
  • The decision of the institute regarding admission would be final and binding on the candidate and her parents/guardians.
  • Admission is provisional till approved by the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

GENERAL RULES

  • All students must read the notice-board everyday.
  • No student is permitted to leave the institute premises during institute hours without the permission of the Director.
  • Four wheelers are not allowed to be parked within the institute campus.
  • Use of mobile phones is not allowed in the institute.
  • Students can use complaint-cum-suggestion box for redressal of complaints or suggestions, if any.
  • Students must appear in all mid semester tests (MST's). Fine of Rs. 200/- would be charged for remaining absent in each paper during MST's and Rs. 1000/- for all the papers of MST's without prior sanction of leave.
  • A fine of Rs. 50/- per day shall be charged on late payment of Course Fees from the last date of payment of fees.
  • Students must clear their dues before the commencement of semester examinations.
  • It is compulsory for all the students to attend all functions of the institute. No leave shall begranted on the day of function.
  • No visitor shall be allowed to meet the students during institute hours.
  • Fees includes tuition fees, development and other charges and once paid is not refundable except as per AICTE / PTU rules.
  • Refund of security deposit within one year of completion of course on submission of security deposit receipt.

UNIFORM RULES

  • Dress code compulsory on Wednesday only and also on functions, seminars and during examinations. Non observance of the dress code will attract a fine of Rs 50/- each time

LEAVE RULES

  • Leave application should be submitted to the tutor before availing the leave.
  • Leave application for more than 3 days should be submitted the Director with recommendation from the Tutor / Class-Teacher.
  • Medical Certificate must be attached with application for sick leave for a week or more.
  • The name of the students who remains absent without leave for more than 10 days continuously may be struck off the institute's roll.
  • Absentees without leave will be fined Rs. 2 per lecture.

GRIEVANCE CELL

  • Students can share their grievances related to academics and hostel with the members of grievances committee. The grievances committee is formed of senior faculty members of the institute.

STUDENT COUNCIL

  • Faculty members constitute it keeping in mind the academics performance and good conduct of students in the institute. The council members are responsible for giving suggestions on behalf of the classes they represent, for organizing functions and for maintaining discipline in the campus.
