President's Message

As the process of development accelerates the uncertainties and challenges to progressive and sustainable realities enhance. However, empowerment through education, "Women education in particular" is the most essential ingredient for growth and prosperity of a community and a nation.

It is this ever changing and turbulent world environment in the era of liberalization, privatization and globalization that persuades me to suggest that the student's have to build on the capacity of research and inquiry, creativity and innovation, use of technology, entrepreneurial and moral leadership and develop through the education process.

The "we can do it" attitude can be created around the five premises, namely, a disciplinary Mind, synthesizing mind, creative mind, respectful mind and an ethical mind and "Five Minds for the future" written by Howard Gardner makes an excellent reading.

Khalsa Dewan is an eloquent symbol of social reform in growth and development of the girl child through its temples of education, for more than a century now. We have strong conviction and respect to the commandment of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in his religious discourse.

This is true for education and all other activities of mankind. The path ahead for Khalsa Dewan and KIMT is clear and transparent and we aspire in our daily prayer that our mission is and be:
